MGK’S 27 CLUB

Machine Gun Kelly and coffee, this might seem like an odd combination, but don’t be fooled! In early 2019, an opportunity was brought to us through Devin Harris, that an A-list artist was considering opening a coffee joint. The team was still vetting everything out but asked us if we would be interested in working together to fill the space with SIXINCH furniture.

As the months passed and the back and forth discussions happened, the space started to take shape. The SIXINCH team handled multiple inspirational mock-ups, had numerous conference calls, and sought to push the design limit to the extreme!

In the end, the 27 Club was born. Captured throughout the space are the images of actors and muscians that have died before the age of 27; applied to furniture in a way that only SIXINCH can offer. “This space is a great example of how contract furniture can go beyond the traditional office interiors,” said Josh Taylor, Brand Director for SIXNCH USA. “Every space should feature furniture that fits the overall aesthetics, not just plug and play,” said Taylor.

Remembering Don

It is with a heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our friend and Rep, Don Myrick. Don was a charismatic and loving soul. We will forever miss him, and we’ll leave you with his words:

On being focused
We’ve continued to put together a great group of products that speak to the various opportunities that a space offers. We can speak to a lot of different issues with a specifier, and that’s a natural and intentional pivot.

On inside-out marketing
I think we have a social responsibility to be improving the environments where people spend so much time. The message about the product – conceptually, and how it solves problems, is more important than the product itself. When we sit down with a specifier, we might spend an entire lunch not talking about the product. To me that’s a win.

On real life
We live in a very special place. I’m swimming with a great group of Masters, remaining open to exploring new music and lifestyle changes with my family. My daughters Hannah, the recent college graduate, and Mimi, a mom to two, continue to make me aware of the constant change that is life. One of my favorite things to do is ride the ferry, and that’s often part of my daily work. I just don’t think it gets better than this.
